Stylish Townhouse with Cinema Room & Courtyard Garden
Summary:
The Tansy House is a traditional railway terrace with a twist, from the front, it looks like an innocent townhouse, but once you are inside, you will be greeted by an open-plan kitchen, and beyond that, 3 bedrooms, the original stone staircase leading you to a cellar with your very own cinema room and courtyard garden. With views of Yorkâs historical walls right outside, a parking space and moments from the station, you will enjoy the glorious hustle and bustle of this beautiful city!
The Space:
This 3 story âTardisâ in the centre of York is perfect for entertaining and enjoying company while being in the heart of York.
Based over three floors, the entrance leads you up the first flight of stairs to the first two king (or twin beds on request) bedrooms, the first bedroom overlooks the city walls and the second bedroom overlooks the garden. All rooms have brilliant secondary glazing so even though you are in the heart of York, it is still quiet, combined with the hotel quality, crisp, white bedding, you are sure to enjoy a good night's sleep.
There is also a bathroom with a large walk-in shower - complete with fluffy white towels and toiletries to use during your stay.
As you enter the main living space on the ground floor, youâll find a unique space with wine box shelving, a penny splash back and modern kitchen. There is a sofa, a large dining table with seating for 8 and 43" Toshiba 4K Smart TV.
The kitchen has all the essentials you would need to cook a meal or enjoy a takeaway, with a large American-style fridge with a ice machine- this space is perfect for entertaining.
On arrival you will be welcomed with a tea and coffee hamper and not forgetting a traditional cake to enjoy during your stay!
Then heading down into the cellar, with the original brickwork and stone steps, along with treasured finds we discovered while renovating the house - there is lots of character to be found!
Here you will find the third double room with views of the courtyard, there is also a second toilet and of course the cinema room!
The cinema room is a brilliant space - there are large, comfy sofas to relax in. The screen is hidden in the ceiling but can be brought down by the touch of a button to watch your favourite film after a busy day in York.
The sofa is a sofa bed that can accommodate the 7th and 8th guest, or be requested as an extra for bookings with fewer than 6 guests.
One parking space included!
Self-catering accommodation - with contactless Check-in
