Great location inside the park!
Excellent location. Spacious, open floor plan. Upstairs has a cool windowed area that lets you see all around the property. Kitchen is stocked with the common stuff. Plenty of blankets and towels. We had 7 (3 kids 4 adults) and two bathrooms were a bit of a challenge sometimes, but not overly so. Drive times are ~15-20 minutes to valley floor, Glacier Point, and Mariposa Grove depending on park traffic.
A few things to note that would further improve the property.
1) The couch cushions in the living room have seen better days. Some of them were torn with stuffing coming out.
2) The second floor master bath doesn't have a door, but does have a pull out couch. Easy to sleep kids with parents, but the lack of the bathroom door makes for noise issues. Installing a barn door like the 1st floor bedroom would make the setup perfect.
3) The internet is present, but almost unusable. We saw 2Mbps down and 0.2 Mbps up. Some of the neighboring houses have Starlink, would be great to see the property upgraded as well. Handling email with a modern client was a challenge.
Still can't beat the location though without staying in the valley and then you don't have a good kitchen and full size fridge.
We look forward to renting again in Yosemite West!
