Granite Tranquility is located on an ideal quiet cul-de-sac in the top of Yosemite West, surrounded by access to Yosemite, inside the National Park gates. Trails at the end of street lead up to a fire lookout tower, down to remote meadows, or connect to the Deer Camp backpacking trailhead.

This home has a large living area with a Nintendo Wii, DVD player, vast selection of movies of all genres including kids’ entertainment, dozens of board games, and puzzles for cozy family evenings.

One bedroom has a queen bed and window looking directly towards the Yosemite forest. The other bedroom has a queen and twin bunks. All queens beds are brand new as of November of 2025. The bathroom has two twin sinks, a separate toilet room, and an oversize shower/tub. The well-stocked kitchen includes a coffee nook perfect for hanging out in conversation while cooking. The center of the house is the dining room with a large table for up to six guests and a gas fireplace. An entryway room has plenty of hooks and racks for storing hiking poles/boots. The balcony is prepared with a propane BBQ, table/umbrella, and extra chairs to enjoy the overlook. In off-seasons, deer and bears, or their tracks, have been seen directly from the balcony and windows. In winter, the basement-level cedar-wood fragrant sauna refreshes muscles after a day of skiing or snowshoeing.

An electric vehicle charging outlet is available for $20/day, however guests must bring their own charging cable.

Check out time: 10:00 AM.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Frequent power outages do occur in the area, no compensation will be offered for this. Please be prepared.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Full kitchen with all you need except a grill thermometer. Posting said nintendo wii was availible. It was not there. Disappointed with 3 kids. Stay was so peacful and really tranquil.

Great spot for Yosemite

This is a great spot if you're visiting yosemite. It's inside the park, pretty close to many of the popular spots within the park. The house is clean, nicely equipped and communication with Vacasa has been great.

Really clean and amazing house, looks exactly like the pictures. 30 mins to the park and very quiet and peaceful - we had a great time there.

The location is amazing. Easy to get around. House was okay One bed had a weird foam topper on it that was worn out and so you sink to the middle. The pictures of the bath show jets with no sign but there is a sign saying guests cant use the jets. I had specifically looked for a jetted tub. The suana is outside and around the house so very difficult to use easily. And the instructions warn about hurting your hand getting in. There are sumple kitchen things missing or in weird locations. The shower curtain was not wide enough for the shower. Just alot kind of off.

Great place to stay near park. It was about 20-25mins drive to the visitor center. Place is huge, ample parking, fully furnished kitchen and a lot of options for entertainment (games, DVDs etc.). On negative side: place is slightly older. Beds were giving small noise and not enough place to keep things inside bathroom. Owner was easy to contact via messaging and we got all the help we needed during our stay. Overall I would highly rate this place and stay again for our future stay.

Great Location

Home is located inside the park. The closest restaurants are 30-40 minutes away. Full service grocery stores are in Oakhurst or about 40 minutes away. The kitchen is well equipped. If you like/need firm mattresses this is not the rental for you.

Tranquility in Yosemite

Had a wonderful time at Granite Tranquility. The rental area is downstairs only, and, as a family of 4 with two pre-teen boys, it was a good size for us. A few maintenance issues popped up, and Vacasa was available and quickly assessed the issues. Property was clean and well-stocked (including a slow cooker! That was huge for us, actually.). Would be happy to stay again.

Good spot and location, but limited amenities

We loved the location and it was plenty comfortable with lots of space. But Wi-Fi was really bad and it only had one bathroom and no washer/dryer access. Should have read the listing more carefully. I would consider staying here again, but I would probably pay a bit more for some of the features above.

Great Stay at the Lodge

The entire house is clean, spacious and nicely renovated. Locates in Yosemite West which is not as crowded as in the Yosemite Valley but still close to the attractions. Only 20 minutes drive to Tunnel view, so we were able to see the sunset at the lookout and came back before it got completely dark. There was a couple of hours of power outrage in the whole village at the last night of our stay. Oher than that, everything else worked great.

Overall the place was clean and located fairly close to the west end of the park. Gaining access to the property was smooth, but the WiFi network given was wrong, the fireplace didn’t work, the grill wouldn’t light without using a lighter to ignite it, the thermostat was very confusing initially and we couldn’t get the heat to come on, and upon departure there was no dumpster to put our trash into. The house also lacked most amenities. No cooking oil or aluminum for the grill, no tissues, 1-ply toilet paper was pretty rough. Tub didn’t drain well, no access to washer/dryer, all closet/pantry doors were locked. We were comfortable and safe and it did the job, but would not stay at this property again.

Not worth the prive

The 2 bedroom home was clean and presentable, but the kitchen is not stocked with anything. If you rent this place and plan to cook, make sure to bring everything (ie: oil, salt) because there was nothing to use. The bunk beds worked out well for the kids. The queen bed in the second bedroom is very poor and offers no support. My husband and I are not large people and we were both sinking into the middle multiple times each night. This home is not worth the price we paid

For your consideration

Yosemite West is a great location and Yosemite is incredible. We have visited Yosemite multiple times and have used VRBO. About the place itself:*we didn’t sleep well because all the beats are very uncomfortable. The queen bed in the master bedroom sank in the middle. Not good for a couple. The beds in the other room were also super hard. My kids who were nicely tired and would have slept through anything under most circumstances, found the beds very uncomfortable. The place was very clean, except we found hairs in the beds sheets. Not sure why. The kitchen and all the other areas were very clean and had everything you could need. If they just changed the beds the house would be well worth renting. As it is, we don’t think we would.

We had an incredible stay—this location truly can’t be beat. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked and had everything we needed, including thoughtful extras like a blender and slow cooker, which made a big difference. The games and DVDs were also a great touch and added to the overall experience.The only downside was the master mattress. It has a very thick foam topper that was quite uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep. Replacing or adjusting that would make a big improvement.Aside from that, everything was 10/10, and we would absolutely stay here again.We stayed with 4 kids and 2 adults, and though small, it fit our needs perfectly for exploring Yosemite.
