This is a very basic hotel but is in a great location for getting around town. It has an elevator & a luggage storage if needed. The buffet breakfast is excellent with many different vegetarian food options (no meat). The staff is very nice & very helpful. They allowed us to check in early & helped us with maps, directions & transportation to places we wanted to visit. Just be aware that there is not a television, safe or fridge. There is a common fridge in the lobby if you need to refrigerate something. You out your room number on it (my husband had medication) & it works on a honor system. They do provide a hairdryer.

Hotel Marta

A handy place in the centre of the city and not far from the railway station. A clean bright room, not the quietest place maybe but I slept well. Breakfast was ok, all you need to start your day, note vegetarian. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, there is a room you can leave your baggage in if you need. So I can recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay at Hotel Marta. The facilities are clean and spacious! The staff are kind and competent; they made us very welcomed and valued. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and they have a coffee machine that makes specialty coffee that you have access to 24/7. Complimentary wifi and they have a shampoo available and a hair dryer in the rooms. Very happy with our stay and we’d come back for sure! You can’t beat the location.

The room was spacious but had no ventilation. The fans in the room were 10 years old and made so much noise to use, and it wasn’t possible to open a window at night due to the tram line next door. The hotel staff had also clearly been told not to allow early check ins - they did the job but I wouldn’t call them friendly or helpful. The breakfast was fine - nothing special

The hotel was in an excellent location being minutes away from the train station and located near many shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly. The room were very basic but had everything a person would need. The breakfast was simple but delicious. Would stay again.

This hotel was budget friendly and also close fo public transportation and very walkable. While the room we stayed in was small, we understood that when we booked it. We were so glad there was a fan because it got quite stuffy in the room and we’re use to A/C. The staff were very friendly and everything was so clean. We felt spoiled with the daily breakfast+coffee and it saved us money! The hotel also has a water machine and we used this religiously, even to fill up our one water backpack. I have three suggestions, offer guest a down comforter if they want something more than a sheet, either provide or charge extra money for a sound machine and lastly turn the breakfast room on floor one to a seating lounge after breakfast daily so people can read etc. my final comment, our room faced the street and there was a punk bar and they screamed/sang until 1am. We got terrible sleep the first night and even had to nap the next day because of it. I wouldn’t say this is a downfall to the hotel, we’d most certainly stay again but I honestly wish they would cut them off at an earlier time due to many hotels being located so close.
