We had booked this room for a trip to Niagara for myself and my husband. The property was difficult to access from the main road, so we went in the back and parked.
When checking in, the representative asked if we wanted off site parking, and mentioned it was $15. I just said that I had seen parking across the street for $5 and wondered if that was a better option.
I also mentioned that we had parked outback in a seemingly available spot. She chuckled, and told us we had to move to the offsite parking. She handed a piece of paper over and said fill this part out if your parking here….don’t if you’re not.
We decided to just park off site…..so I filled it in and handed it back. She said “you’re parking?”.
My husband moved the car to the offsite lot, and I went up to the room.
The room was down a little corridor, tucked back from the other rooms. The reason for this was to allow room for the elevator chase, which was right beside us. This was the only elevator for the entire hotel. To boot, the room backed onto the parking lot.
The people coming on and off the elevators until all hours of the morning kept us awake the majority of the night.
I felt as though this was a punishment room for asking questions about parking.
I was just trying to figure out our best option as parking on site was sold out.
The hotel was clean, some updates had been done, but overall the main areas need some fixing up and care.
Won’t be returning anytime soon.
