Stay on the resort. Excursions are safe and so much fun! We zip lined, seam with the dolphins, and ride horses on the beach. Book your excursions early in the day because they take about 4-5 hours each. Driver picks you up from the hotel and could drive up to an hour. They sell you things after each excursion which is really cool because they have amazing products. The staff is amazing! The property is awesome. I would go back for sure. Beach, pool, club, casino, shopping, food, events, all on the property. Beach is beautiful.

The resort is very clean and beautiful as a whole. We never felt unsafe at any time, and the whole resort was easy to navigate. In the room, our nespresso machine and the large lounger were broken upon arrival. It did not impact our stay at all. The restaurants were delicious, but steaks are overcooked. We do wish there was an option to "grab and go" at restaurants to take fruits or snacks to the beach or pool like other majestic resorts. We did have a few bad experiences with being sat at the bar by a hostess to wait for a table to open, only to be forgotten at the bar and other guests sat ahead of us. I would also recommend a daily room service request card because we often had full service (towels, linens, etc) just to get coffee and sugar packets. Just a suggestion, not a negative for our stay. We highly recommend Mariana water sports at Majestic. Marcos, Richard, and Miguel made our first scuba diving experience (ever) so enjoyable and stress free. We ended up going twice during our stay to see two different dive locations. Overall, we loved our experience at Majestic Colonial.

our housekeeping came everyday but did not clean well, beds made yes and towels replaced but taht was it. our middle table was never wiped down nor the shower. some staff members were not friendly, the buffet didn't have a wide variet of food, pool tiles falling off and garbage here and there around the resort

Disappointed with the beginning of our stay our room wasn’t great the bed was terrible hard room was very dated fan was noisy curtains were broken. One of the dinners was a bit of a disaster room service said 40 minutes took over 1 hour and 45 minutes. At the end of the trip had some decent meals and service. But all and all disappointed.
