Thought it was great but then got scammed
Stayed here for 2 months 1st off barely any dishes or untensils to cook or use so had to eat out which defeated the point of staying at a house then they charged me to repaint the house new sheets a new table extra yard work becuase her yard people let my dog get loose so she told them not to go back luckily i paid for the insurance but there where paints chips missing b4 i came also charged me for a new door mat beyond a freaking scam

Graduation made easy
Lovely home! We stayed here for our son’s college graduation. Every time we visited in the past we stayed at a hotel. But for graduation I wanted to be somewhere walkable to campus and have our own driveway - parking in town is very difficult. I would stay here again for sure if we visited campus again.

Stay away unless you want bad experience
We just checked out this property like 10 days ago.In Montclair it’s very hot around 110F and the owners kept controlling the AC and turning it off to save electric. They lied when confronted about it and said it was from SCE the electric company. They will also make cash agreements with you but be aware because they only care about business and not any other promises or care for the families. In other words they don’t have good hospitality. Also they charge pet fees even if you have emotional service dogs or letters from Doctors. And be aware they will be recording you and watching you on cameras that are in the front but who knows if there is more recording equipment inside the house.

Safe location and great place
I would definitely recommend this place. It was clean and in a nice quiet area. VRBO owners were respectful when they had to come on to the property during my stay. Communication was great.

Shirin was very attentive to our every need and was always available. The house was very clean and spacious for a two bedroom with a nice sized backyard for our dogs to enjoy. The property is minutes away from downtown Claremont and the Montclair plaza. Great location! We would definitely come back here.

My Home away from Home!
Description on VRBO is accurate and the house is so roomy! Staying at this well-maintained, beautiful property in Montclair, CA for 23 days was a gift to myself and my daughter’s family, who live in Claremont, CA a 6 minute drive from the rental house. I needed a place nearby to help daughter with my grandkids, even though I was staying there alone, the hostess has it furnished with a big toy box, children’s books for various ages, and made it clear that they were welcome to visit/stay with me if needed. The well-stocked Kitchen and cabinets were filled with not only pretty china dishes, but had things a family with children might need - like jello/custard dishes and baking materials. I loved the shower/tub in the roomy bathroom, the extra TV in one of the big bedrooms. All communication with the hostess was immediate, and when Claremont got hit with one of the worst wind storms in 20 years, my family was welcomed to stay with me for the two days they were without electricity! The property looks out at snow-capped mountains and the front and back yard are not only maintained but lovely with flowering plants. Everything worked as presented in the description except the electric Coffee Pot, which I finally figured out turned on when the button is held down and you see the word “clean”. That minor thing paled considering the light, airy, clean and roomy home! I wished I could have stayed there longer!

Great Montclair Vrbo!
Recommend this rental. If you’re looking for a clean, modernly furnished place to stay with a home-like feel to it, this is the place. Plenty of amenities are provided. Easy communication between us and the hostess. Looking forward to rebooking.

Bad communication & misleading listing
The property owner forgot to include a cleaning fee on her listing and called once we got into her house and asked us to pay another $100 due to her mistake. She also tried to add on an extra fee for our caged rabbit, when the listing said dogs and cats allowed and may require an extra fee. I had no idea that a small caged pet would be charged the same fee.
