The staff at the breakfast venue headed by Lisa, the supervisor , surprised me with a birthday cake & song complete with placards. That was a nice & unexpected gesture! I was like how did she know…& for them to look around the resto for me. Wow! I was touched! I’ve been telling all my friends & family about my experience. I will surely recommend your hotel.

One hour to check in and get the room 2 hours for the luggage to arrive at the room after 4 calls down to reception. Lifts are a pain have to wait for your selected lift and if it’s full have to start again no just pressing the button and getting in the first lift. Can sit in the lounge bar and have a drink but can’t order from the restaurant/bar in front ever though it’s the same hotel. Rooms on the front of the hotel very noisy from the road, all night tuks tuks and motorbikes zooming past with loud exhausts.

There was a smell in the hotel that was horrible. The room I stayed in did not smell but as soon as you went down to the lobby or restaurant it was there.

Amari Bangkok is A+
Finally a 4-5 star reviewed hotel that lives up to the standards. The location is walking distance to many of the must see areas. My hotel room was spacious, always kept clean by staff, quiet, and even had my Australian channels on tv. The pool was nice for a dip, but the gym is comparable to any commercial fitness centre packed with free weights, plate loaded and cable equipment plus two squash courts. The Prego Italian restaurant is top notch as is the phenomenal breakfast buffet with a range of eastern and western cuisine. I had a fantastic stay at the Amari Bangkok and recommend it highly.

Amari is a wonderful 5 star hotel. Close to many shopping malls. The staff there were very friendly and always smiling. Highly recommended.
