The venue was okay. Parking was in the public multi level park which was an additional cost I had to pay for. Check in and check out were seamless. Room was clean bed was comfortable and bathroom roomy. Did smell very musty however I think that is the age of building. A really good Thai restaurant next door to purchase a lovely meal.

It’s an old hotel with a lot of character and charm. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room I was given is in need of refurbishment. There were stains on the carpet that no amount of cleaning will remove. The armchair had grubby upholstery and there was no coffee table on which to place a cup or glass (I had to use an upturned waste paper basket). The drapes were hanging off their hooks. To my surprise no cleaning service was provided on the second day of my stay. Nevertheless I enjoyed the room and the hotel itself. But improvements would be welcome.

Loved the location & the heritage features of The Shamrock. The mattress on our bed was old & needs replacing. The mattress edges are flattened & have not stood up to usage. We noticed food crumbs & long hairs over the upholstery of the wing chairs & couch left by previous customers. Everything else, from the bed linen, to the towels, to the staff was exemplary. The young lady who checked us in was lovely, knowledgeable & efficient at her job. We would happily stay again.
