Better to avoid the big chains.
Just splendid. We can all stay with perfectly functional and friendly hotel chains with the multitude from brands to suit every taste and pocket, indeed I often do. However Stirrups and other similar smaller hotels offer a little extra. When I take my wife away for a few days, I like to include Stirrups in the itinerary. Lovely location, lovely staff, lovely breakfast. My thanks to you all. I hope to see you again soon.

Lovely hotel
We really enjoyed our stay here, the hotel is beautiful and the staff were lovely. However we have given 4 stars instead of 5 due to one staff member we met at breakfast. She wasn’t very old and clearly did not want to be there. She was borderline rude and made us all feel as though we shouldn’t have been there. Luckily the older lady also serving breakfast made up for this, she was extremely welcoming and friendly. Thank you ☺️

Overnight stay
We had a lovely overnight stay here and was upgraded to the junior suite. The room is well equipped and immaculately clean with a lovely walk in shower. Only comment is we found the pillows quite hard, but that’s personal choice. The hotel also has lovely surroundings and very friendly helpful staff.

A great find
This is a great find. Perfect for Ascot races. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We had dinner which was good but lamb was a little overpriced and the buffet breakfast was like warm. Otherwise this would have been 5 stars.
