Firstly, many, many thanks to Bernadette. She was extremely welcoming, warm and friendly at reception when I first arrived. She was also very helpful and attentive when we had problems with our leaking fridge. She also allowed us to have a later checkout of 1.5 hours, which was also very helpful. A couple of disappointments were not receiving our 2nd room clean (we declined the first but were told we would get a second) and no email reply (as requested according to the manager's email) to my completing the 'how did we go checking in' email from the manager regarding the fridge and dryer (that also needed some attention). Overall, we like Alcyone and would stay again. Thanks.

We loved our stay at this location for 1 night before our cruise. The lobby staff was extremely helpful and kind. There are lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and liquor stores within a couple minute walk. There is also a nice park right across the street. Eat Street was only about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel as well. We would most definitely stay here again.

The hotel was good . lovely room ( actually an apartment) with a kitchen area , dinning area sitting area washing machine and dryer lovely big bed .!really helpful , very welcoming staff Only thing is it’s quite a way out of the city so really need a car ! ( although ferry and bus are not too faraway )
