Like so many other hotels I am surprised that although I did not put my towels out for changing they were chaned anyway.

Great hotel as it is close to the shops. Parking in Cabot Service is really convenient and £9 for 24 hrs if the hotel validates the ticket. Bed was too soft for me, which I found uncomfortable but didnt spoil my stay. The lights in the room are not great, either all on or all off. Reception staff very nice and helpful. Food in the hotel was okay but preferredto eat out on our 2nd night.

The hotel has very tired decor and the lifts were very slow even up to the 1st floor so I took to using the stairs and there was an unpleasant smell in the stairwell. In the room the bath had not been cleaned and the sheets looked crumpled, although appeared clean so I didn’t complain about that. I was on the 1st floor and there was a person occupying a tent directly below my window (hotel property) which was very off putting. I would not stay there again.
