Disastrous Experience: Unprofessional Receptionist and Lazy Breakfast Staff
I recently had the misfortune of staying at this local hotel that, unfortunately, only caters to locals. My two-night reservation made through Expedia turned into a nightmare thanks to the abysmal service provided by the receptionist and breakfast staff.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I inquired about an early check-in, as Expedia had informed me that it would cost £10 to check in at 12pm instead of 3pm. However, when I approached the receptionist at 12:53pm, she insisted that the early check-in would cost £30 (£10 per hour). When I attempted to question her calculation, she responded with rude and dismissive behavior, showing a complete lack of professionalism. Her demeanor suggested a simple and uneducated individual who was ill-equipped to handle even basic customer inquiries.
As if the receptionist's behavior wasn't enough, the experience with the breakfast staff further compounded my disappointment. The breakfast provided was incredibly basic, and even then, items were frequently running out. Despite numerous requests from myself and other guests for items to be refilled, the staff showed a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction.
