much worse than my already-low expectations
I was amazed how bad it is. Super 8 is not fancy obviously, but this one was extra bad. Lamp shades were torn and tattered, the toilet never stopped flushing, the bathroom light is motion activated and can't be turned off (so you have to close the bathroom door to make it dark enough to sleep, which is necessary because it helps muffle the constant-flushing toilet sound), the AC was inoperable (buttons didn't do anything), and voices and other sounds from the hallway are loud and clear inside my room with the door closed. Also, I had reserved a room on hotels.com with one bed so it would feel roomier, but they gave me a room with two beds and claimed it was all they had available. Overall, it was super unpleasant being there.

Heads up! If you are under 21 years old you wont be able to get a room here! I almost got kicked out but the clerk was very nice and understanding that i payed online and it said nothing about that. There were also rat traps in our room which was freaky at first but didnt ruin the night. The bath was very nice. I did end up with rashes from the bed sheets but they were gone in a week... so thats a little worrying 😟.

Clunky check in. Room in good condition.
Check in was clunky and weirdly slow, for no apparent reason. The front desk staff member was not welcoming or effectively communicative. I blame the management and/or leaders of the company for not investing in more adept and professional front desk staff. Training is clearly insufficient.

This hotel had bed bugs and I woke up with bites all over my face, back, arms. Then, when I reported this to the front desk, they stated they would "take care of it" and didn't offer any refund. When we called back later, demanding a refund, we were hung up on twice and basically told that we had brought the bugs in with us (not true). It took several days of calling to reach the manager, finally, who offered a refund. Absolutely abhorrent service and response to a legitimate customer complaint (and public health issue).
