I would have given the hotel 5 stars but when we arrived at 2am, there was no rooms for us and we were sent to an apartment, which was good but not what we asked for. We wanted to stay in the apartment but were told we'd have to pay extra, therefore, we returned to the hotel, which was a good idea as it was near the metro and gold souk and loads of good restaurants.
The Ibis was actually great, once wed settled in and the staff were all kind and helpful. TO compensate us, we were offered free breakfasts for the rest of our stay.
Cathy, the server at breakfast, was wonderful with us, and knew our requirements from day 1. Kevin on reception was also wondetful and helpful, ensuring that all our needs were met.
The only criticism i have is that the pool area was small, with only 7 sunbeds.
Other than that, I have to say our stay was great and Dubai is a fantastic.
