Country Cottage with enclosed yard. Quiet wooded location.

The Cottage living accommodation is all on the first floor and comprises a large open plan living Kitchen and Dining Room with a wood burning stove.
There is a double bedroom, a bedroom with bunkbeds and a sofa bed in the living room.
A sunny deck with Barbecue overlooks an enclosed yard where dogs are welcome guests.
There is a small fire pit in the yard and campfires can be lit when fire regulations permit.
The Shushwap Lake, is a short drive away. There is a public beach and a boat launch. It is a great environment for ATV ing directly from the property.
In Winter there are snowmobiling opportunities direct from the property.
There is a foosball table in the basement and a basketball hoop in the yard. There is a small Grocery store 5 minutes drive away.

Vacation getaway
House was clean and looked freshly painted inside. Lots of windows, 2 good sized bedrooms plus hideabed couch (not used). Took mattress from top bunk and used it on the floor. No a/c. but floor fans available although some were very dusty. Good variety of cooking utensils but frying pans have seen better days. Outside stairs were rickety and only one person used them at a time. Require painting as slivers were abundant. Yard area is mostly dirt and weeds, unsuitable for children to play on. Correct address is 5187 Ivy Road address on listing is 5871 Ivy Road, leading to a dead end past where the actual house is.

If you are looking for a short stay home in the Eagle Bay area this home will do. We were in the area for a wedding and wanted to bring the dog and our two teenage boys. Home is comfortable, has good beds including a hide a bed in the living room. Clean and comfortable but not great esthetically. There is no lawn or yard to speak of and the outdoor area consists of a large wooden deck that needs some serious maintenance including loose and soft deck boards and wobbly handrails. Homeowner should consider some new pots and frying pans as they are old and warped. The Bar b que is a throw away. Some paper towels, napkins and basics in the kitchen would also be a welcome addition, as would a general clean up of the yard and under the deck. Sufficient for what we needed though.

The property is located quite a ways out of Salmon Arm, but is worth the drive around the lake. We very much enjoyed our stay and will most likely be back next year.

Sorrento wedding stay
Altho half an hour from the wedding site, which I was aware via Google Maps, it was easy travel and perfect for our stay with our 2 big dogs who love rural walks and water (beach about 10 min away) and.needed high fences and enclosed yard.

Cool and cozy
We enjoyed our short stay (4 days) here. Owner Jane was quick to communicate, and in the August heat I appreciated the amazing tree cover that kept the place cool. It’s somewhat off the beaten path, but really not that far from most Shuswap area activities we did (and the drive along the shoreline is fun anyway). All advertised amenities were available.
