If you have to stay somewhere near the Redwood Forest, Oceanfront Lodge is ok. Our room was not clean but not filthy. There was a lot of noise and especially doors slamming. Our room was ground floor (we did not request that) and the view was the grass covered berm at the back of the hotel, muddy windows and other guest walking by. The dining room smelled as if beer had been spilled and never cleaned up. We chose NOT to eat in the hotel restaurant. If you can find another hotel, perhaps even outside Crescent City, I would suggest it.

Fantastic Weekend
With the beach just steps outside, the location really cannot be beat. Everyone was exceedingly friendly and the hotel was very welcoming to dogs of all sizes. We will definitely be back.

A lot of hair in the room, I'm assuming from house keepers.tub was great, bed was great... Lots of noise all night from the door on the side of the building... Didn't sleep too well, and the walls are a little thin. Front desk was nice and pleasant. Building still beautiful and the view outside the window was wonderful too. Restraunt is a little overpriced for what you get. Probably won't eat or drink there again even though the chef was kind and happy.

Horrible staffing (not the actual staff) had to actually pay 5$ for Lobby coffee! Fantastic location but I’d never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone.
