Elevator broken - sub par hotel
We booked this hotel well in advance for the Atlanta Nascar race. I recently had knee surgery so I'm still in the healing process and stairs are a bit challenging still. When we checked in on Saturday, we were notified that hotels.com had us booked for the 3rd floor. This wouldnt have been an issue, provided we used the elevator..however they also informed us that the elevator was out of order. Since Nascar is a large event there were no other hotels available at last minute so we had no choice but to stay. I requested a discount for the hassel..the hotel didnt want to accommodate us..so I had to go through hotels.com. Thankfully they helped us out. But the customer service wasnt there for this hotel. They made us wait until Monday when I finally got an email from the booking site telling us we would have a small credit for the inconvenience. Besides the elevator issue, the toilet was hard to flush and this hotel has the thinnest walls and largest gaps in the doors..so the noise in the hallway at night and the room next door was horrible. You heard everything and you could see through the gap in the door all the way across the room. Breakfast was awful. The maid that was cleaning rooms on our floor on Sunday was extremely nice. If only the rest of the staff were the same. They refused to give me a receipt upon exiting because I booked through hotels.com. I wanted proof that they documented that I checked out on time and they refused. I will not book this hotel again.

Clean quiet property. Beds were comfortable. Applebee's restaurant adjacent. Staff was very friendly. It's a basic hotel but fit our needs very well.
