I stayed here for a bit of relaxation over Mother’s day weekend. Checked in Saturday evening and went straight to bed. Sunday morning, after walking around my room, I noticed a couple of fresh bug bites on my feet. I had already checked for bed bugs so knew that wasn’t it.
Messaged the front desk abt the bug bites and asked that they vacuum my room bc 1) I didn’t want to move bc the bugs could be in other rooms 2) I didn’t want a pesticide spray bc they could hurt my breathing
The maid came up and vacuumed. Afterwards, I showed her the bug bites on my both feet and then she started looking for bugs. After that, I had to keep everything off the floor and wear socks and shoes while in the room
Before checkout, I asked for the housekeeping manager and told abt my experience. Without any apology, she told me she heard the bites looked like mosquito bites. I told her I don’t know what their bug’s bites look like. Then she says they’ll search the room for bugs once I check out. I suggested looking in the vacuum bag used by the maid. No answer but she kept repeating that she’ll search my room after I check out.
I asked if there would be any type of remediation for my inconvenience and, instead, she insulted me and called me a liar. Paying customers are liars rather than someone worth some type of goodwill gesture from management.
Done stay here. The reviews have already talked abt how unclean the place is and now we know if there’s a problem, THEY won’t be trying to fix it
