While attending a funeral for a 14-year-old boy, I tried to check in an hour earlier than the 3 PM stated time. I had traveled five hours to get there and wanted to freshen up. I was told that if I wanted to check in an hour earlier, I had to pay a $50 surcharge, which I found most upsetting and most unusual.

I paid for itinerary insurance , and I was charged an extra "fee" for a "free" request. The Expedia live chat person was useless. Kept me going in circles and then wanted me to start over from the beginning. This is the last Expedia purchase ever!!
