Sorry for length; grab a drink/chair. Didn't realize it was a time share when we booked. Everyone tries to sell you discount activity tickets the second you land. Airport is 45min away and a cab will run about $100 US. Look into transp options/prepay b4 you go. Uber into town is $6ish US; highly recommend. Hotel staff was mostly awesome. Super friendly. Very grateful for tips; they don't make much so I'd suggest tipping for good service. Couple of bucks goes a long way for them. Don't forget room attendants. Resort was nice; our room was very humid. Uncomfortably so but we were next to our son and his friends so we never mentioned it. Our fault. All our papers (anything left out) were damp and curled up. Worst part is the sales pitch. Short version, just go directly to anyone at whatever activity you want to do and negotiate. Plenty of vendors downtown. Prices for everything go up even at some restaurants if cruise ship docked. Resort food mostly decent. Buffet breakfast was good and included. Had a couple of meals at their Sport Bar that were good. Don't bother with the steaks(they're gray)-not sure if frozen then thawed, even filet mignon was gray and chewy. 2 for 1 drinks at certain times-good pours. Cabo is gorgeous and the weather is beautiful ; sun is dangerous for anyone fair skinned. Get the discount card but not time share. Don't forget sunscreen. Tip for good service; real nice staff. And don't bother with the time share pitch. ;-)

From the moment we arrived at Villa Del Palmar we were blown away by the impeccable service and breathtaking surroundings. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, making us feel like VIPs throughout our stay. The accommodations were so great, with stunning ocean views from our room. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and having delicious meals at the on-site restaurants, each offering a unique culinary experience. The servers were all so great, Omar was our favorite! We can’t wait to return to this paradise in Cabo! I highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa del Palmar. In particular, the guest services manager, Oscar, was extremely helpful in finding us a room with a walk in shower and close to the beach, that accommodated my husband's medical needs as he recovered from hip surgery. Oscar followed up with us throughout our stay to make sure all was good. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, with made to order egg dishes, and delicious fresh fruit and Mexican pastries. I enjoyed a lovely massage at the Desert Spa. As an added bonus, both the spa treatment and breakfast were included with the room rate! We like the location of the villa group resorts, as they are right on the beach, set aside from other resorts around, and a short distance from town.
