Great location for both the Skyline Drive access and Luray Caverns. The office was very accommodating of our late arrival. The room was a nice throwback and created a different experience than the five-star cookie cutter spots. Very romantic if you are with the right person!! Priced adequately!!

Friendly place
The staff at Hillside were fabulous! They were all very friendly, eager to please, and helpful. Cell signals are poor in the mountains so they printed directions for us to get around. The rooms are older but very clean and comfortable. There was a nice sized fridge with freezer in the room, microwave, and coffee maker with coffee and creamer. The shower pressure was great! The price was better than other places in area as well.There are only 2 things that need improvement for us. 1) the wifi did not work -none of the network names nor password worked. We need signal due to an elderly relative and animals at home. 2) the mattress was foam, seemed old, and was very soft. they did have a nice enclosed bed cover on it though. If the cell/wifi service would work, we would definitely stay here again.
