Lakefront Home on Beautiful Lake Ontario, close to Niagara Falls

Minimum stay is only 3 nights! Sleeps up to 12 guests.

The perfect affordable waterfront getaway, this house sits directly on Lake Ontario, in Orleans County, New York, with a private yard and firepit. We fully sanitize the property in accordance with recommended disinfecting practices before your arrival so you can be safe and worry-free during your stay. We also provide freshly washed linens and towels, so you don’t have to bring your own.

Whether you’re a family seeking a spacious vacation house, a couple hoping for a private retreat, or a group of friends looking forward to an escape from your normal routine, this property is for you. We provide both indoor and outdoor games (or bring your own!) and plenty of outdoor space for activities, relaxing, and lakeside meals. The lake can be accessed by stepping down the safe stairway to a platform just above water to sit or just walk into the shallows. Guests are also able to access a local pebble beach walking-distance down the street, perfect for launching kayaks or canoes, as well as swimming or fishing. While we don’t provide any boats, there are rental shops nearby (or bring your own!)

This property also gets both spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy the sunrise over the water with a coffee in-hand. Then after a day of sightseeing or wine tasting come home to this relaxing piece of paradise to wind down, sit by the fire, and watch the sunset on the water’s horizon.

Whether you wish to cook and eat outdoors or indoors, we’ve got you covered! The modern, open-concept kitchen is perfect for cooking while socializing or keeping an eye on your children while they play or watch TV in the spacious sunroom. The kitchen also includes a new stainless steel dishwasher, so you have less cleanup work while on vacation, new stainless steel fridge and microwave, as well as 2 regular 12 cup coffee makers and a single-serve K-Cup brewer. The kitchen has everything a cook or baker could ask for. All you need to bring is food, clothing, and water shoes.

We also provide a propane grill for those who love a good barbecue. The outside bistro table makes for a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views. Our covered outdoor patio allows you to get out of the sun while you eat without having to venture indoors. We also have a patio on the west side of the house perfect for sunbathing—or using the retractable awning for extra shade.

With 2 bedrooms upstairs and 3 downstairs, there is plenty of privacy for everyone. Living room also has a queen sleeper sofa. It is also very convenient to have a full bathroom on both levels. There is an air conditioner on the 1st floor and 2 air conditioners in the upper bedrooms for your comfort. There is an additional sitting area indoors next to the wood burning fireplace for cooler evenings. There is also a propane heater in living room and radiant baseboard heat for cool nights. Hi speed Wi-Fi is provided for your entertainment and convenience. Roku TV's for streaming includes cable access, and DVD players are in bedrooms. 55" Smart TV in living room is connected to cable and is available for streaming your favorite platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime.

We do not provide wood for the firepit or indoor fireplace, but you can purchase your own wood at local stores.

We are bicycle friendly, meaning you are able to securely lock your bike(s) if you bring any.

There is an additional large piece of land across the road for extra parking, or to use for outdoor recreation. There is a pebble beach down the street available for use by my guests.

Great place to experience the eclipse and quiet lake life
We found the cottage very easily and it was as expected, you have 3 bedrooms on the first floor and 2 upstairs. There is a futon in the living room as well. Kitchen was well equipped and we were very comfortable. Lake steps were closed, but we enjoyed the access way. The host was very quick to respond to some questions we had If low-key is what you want, this is the perfect spot.

Great location. Thoughtful amenities and prompt response when we had questions.
My family stayed during an annual golf tournament fundraiser at a nearby country club. It was a great place close to the gathering points. Nice to come back to beautiful sunsets every night and all the amenities you can think of. Then to wake up to the beautiful sunrises each morning was truly special!

Good stay, not great
There is hardly beach access, which is what we were really planning on for this trip. The only way into the water is over huge boulders that were recently placed there to prevent erosion of the shoreline. The "beach" down the street, which we were told was for loading/unloading kayaks, was so filthy that we could not even get in. The house is large, the AC is good, the water pressure in the shower could not be worse. The bugs are UNREAL. so so so bad. spiders and gnats everywhere, inside and out. Like big spiders too, spooky big guys. Overall the stay was good, but don't expect easy access to the water, which is what one would expect when staying at a water front property.

Great property but slightly misleading!
My friends and I had a fantastic time on our trip here! With that being said there are a few issues with the property that I think she be noted. The first is the bug problem. We basically could not utilize the fire pit or go outside after dark because there were swarms of nats. The owner had a shock light but it was filthy and full with bugs and not helpful. We tried using bug repellent and it did not help the situation which did put a damper on our trip. Additionally, the “beach access” mentioned is not a beach, it’s a flat waterfront area full of rocks and weeds that you have to climb through if you want to take out a kayak or go swimming. The only alternative option to this “beach” is climbing down the rocks directly in front of the property that are incredibly dangerous and slippery. Almost all of the friends I had staying with me cut themselves on the sharp rocks at the “beach” or on the cliff at one point or another during the trip. I also think that the owner could have been a lot nicer to us and did feel that she was rude to us as a group because of our age (we are all in our 20’s). The house is super cute and the inside was very clean and overall we ended up having a very fun trip, however if you’re wanting easy access to the water or campfires at night I don’t think this place would work well for you.

Location, location, location
This is a great country cottage right on the lake. It's not a newly built Hilton resort so there are some minor flaws, but it's a great place for a family to hang out. My brother and I brought our families together here for a short 3-day visit and it served us well. The location is the KEY element for this house. Its location right on the shoreline of Lake Ontario was very relaxing (the shoreline here consists of large rocks for erosion control. There's a small pebble beach just down the street a bit, but we didn't visit that.). Cooking up some hot dogs & smores over the fire pit and hanging together around the campfire was the highlight of the trip for me and the lake background contributed to the ambiance. There's also a stack of board games inside for family fun. The kitchen is well-appointed and updated. The two bathrooms are updated. Water pressure for the 2nd floor shower was disappointing, but likely due to low pressure in the area and/or small water lines. The queen beds are downstairs in the plainer bedrooms and the doubles are upstairs in the nicer ones (with views of the lake). Given that most adults don't want to sleep double in a double bed, it'd be nice to have the queens upstairs, but we didn't spend any time in the bedrooms other than sleeping, anyway (so the kids got the nicer rooms and the adults got the nicer beds). The location is very rural and very quiet. As a surprise bonus, there are quite a few Amish farms in the area, so it was interesting to see them out and about. We happened to see a couple 4-horse teams hooked up to work the land. There are a few vegetable stands in the area with some gorgeous seasonal fruits & veggies (strawberries, tomatoes, sugar peas and another pea (I forget the name) were in season for us). Niagara Falls and Fort Niagara (an interesting visit if you like history at all) are a reasonable drive away. The Erie Canal is very close. Probably some more stuff, but we didn't have time. Lynn is a good, organized host with a multi-page PDF to send you before your arrival. No problems with communication. Overall, if you're looking for a peaceful place where a family can hang out and spend time together, this may be a great solution for you.
