Nice hotel, functional & spacious, room was nice & big & very clean. The receptionist insisted we swipe a card for expenses, we explained we had dinner & breakfast plans & would pay as we go. But were told company policy. A day later, after check out & no expenses, I’ve not had the £75 refunded. Also v poor dinner recommendation of a chain restaurant. Marlow is a high end independent foodie town…

Complacent Plaza. Accept bookings and then cancel
I had my booking confirmed and then the evening before my booking the Crowne Plaza moved me to their sister site in Reading (about 1 hour away). Hotels.com sorted it out and were very helpful. Crowne Plaza have developed a reputation for being too complacent in Marlow thinking they have a captive audience.

Overall a great experience
My wife and I stayed here a few nights ago and rented a suite - it was a beautiful and spacious room with loads of seating areas. The bed was extremely comfortable with 2 different pillow options, and the blackout blinds are super effective. Even during the daytime, with them closed, it is pitch black in the room so daytime naps are an option. The bathroom is spacious as well, with both a shower and a bathtub, and generous quantities of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, etc. Every part of the room was super clean. My only complaint is the breakfast - unfortunately it fell short of what we were hoping for. The croissants were stale and the scrambled eggs my wife ordered she had 2 bites of and couldn't eat any more. With that being said though, the room service we had ordered in the evening the night before was excellent, and we ate every bite of it.
