Cute little place, parking is easy and free, breakfast is grab and go, and really good coffee! Considering I looked at a bunch of different places in Monterey and booked and rebooked several times at several locations before staying here, I was worried about a few of the reviews I read, so I wanted to leave my own-place was clean, staff nice, walkable, near Del Monte shopping plaza, quick drive to tourist areas. Another review mentioned "bird feathers" in room-that was from pillows :-). Not the most comfy beds, but had a nice space and we didn't spend much time there other than sleeping. Pool and hot tub were a nice touch after a long day exploring. Thank you for a great little spot for a couple of days!

The hotel itself is great with a shopping mall right across the way. The room was nice but the fridge was loud as heck. We had to shove a towel into the compartment where the fridge was so we could sleep in peace.

I had stayed here several years ago and had a positive experience. We decided to return here and were disappointed by our stay. When we entered our room it smelled extremely strong of bleach and cleaning supplies. Just before using the shower, I discovered huge amount of long dark hair on the shower walls…obviously had not been cleaned prior to our stay. The bed was extremely hard/firm. We like firm bed but this felt like you were sleeping on the ground. We will not be staying there again.

Nice staff but the room was run down. Curtains falling off the rail, lamp flickers on night stand, Water dribbles out of the sink fixture, Barking dogs next room over, mattress moves on its pedestal and springs squeak.
