Guests may access the entirety of the home with the exception of the garage and attic. Due to the interface at Driftwood Ranch with many types of wildlife, we ask that you remain in the fenced backyard area when in the back of the house. There are hiking and biking trails you can access in the La Cresta area and further information is available within binders located in the home. In general, please do not walk through meadows, off of trails, and always be extremely wary and careful about animals.
In general, guests should expect to come into contact with any number of wild animals, including, but not limited to mountain lions, rattlesnakes, bobcat, coyotes, scorpions, tarantulas, snakes, spiders and other animals not on this list. Please see guest safety for a more complete list of animals and please do your own research when investigating this area to stay. Please use all basic precautions by wearing shoes, watching where you step, not reaching under hard to see areas, not picking up items without first kicking them away to ensure something is not hidden underneath, not walking through meadows or off trails and more. Make sure you and your group are well-versed in safety measures to take around various types of animals. Please expect to see them as the area surrounding Driftwood Ranch is filled with natural beauty and animals.
