"The location of this house can't be beat- stunning views of the ocean. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sound of the waves. The quiet beach is two steps away. We were a group of "active seniors". The house is so close to Ha'ena State Park and Limahuli Garden. The town of Hanalei is just a short drive away, with plenty of restaurants, shopping and Hanalei pier. Princeville is also close by with beautiful golfing. We had made dinner plans for all of our night, but ended up staying in and cooking several nights. We just didn't want to leave! Communication with Steve, the owner, was so easy. He was very attentive to all of our questions and requests. We will be back!"

"Wonderful views across the two bays including Hanalei Bay. Lanai so we could enjoy the fresh air. This is real Hawaii not the big resorts. Provided beach chairs & umbrella for our outings. Small, quaint and quiet. "

"We've stayed several times at this property and always enjoy ourselves. It really is the most reasonably priced home -- where you get the ENTIRE home to yourself -- north of Hanalei. in my opinion. The downstairs living area is beautiful and functional. Plenty of supplies are available including a little wagon we used to transport our chairs, umbrellas, a picnic lunch and snorkel gear on the most beautiful 20-iminute walk to Tunnels Beach. We spend the entire day at the beach and then head back in the late afternoon and clean up and go to Hanalei. Hanalei is super casual and we just wear our flip flops, tees and shorts for a perfect afternoon and great dinner. Try Chicken in a Barrel for the BEST chicken you've EVER had -- and the most economical meal on the north shore! We slept every night with our windows open and would listen to the rain while we slept deeply on the super comfortable beds. This house has 2 restrooms and really everything you need in the kitchen. Donna communicates quickly and is the best hostess. Remember that Kauai is very rural and not a resort. It is dirt / mud trails, empty beaches, rainbows, sunshine and rain showers and the friendliest people when you smile and show your aloooha!"

"The house is wonderful and Tunnels Beach, just a few minutes away, is totally incredible! The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The deck is a great place to hang out between trips to the beach, and the AC cooled us down quickly when we got a little too warm. The house felt very private. We loved the high ceilings in the open main space, too. Everything was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the beach toys. Tunnels Beach is easily one of the best beaches we've ever visited, anywhere. Our 8 year old son swam, played in the water, and snorkeled for days, even though there was high surf out in the open ocean. Being able to walk to the beach was really relaxing. You need to pre-book, but the parking for Nāpali Coast State Wilderness Park, Kalalau Trailhead, and Hāʻena SP is perhaps 5 minutes drive from the house. There's also a shuttle but you'd have to drive much further (the opposite way) to catch the shuttle. The hike along the coast is spectacular and up to the waterfall is amazing but challenging. The property manager, Beaux, was super kind and helpful when our departure plans were disrupted by some flash flooding elsewhere on the island. That meant a lot to us. We hope to be back soon!"

"Amazing home and best location on earth. Was perfect for our family and my sister’s family. The ocean was perfect for teenagers. Not sure it would be as great for younger kids as the calm part of the ocean is a bit of a walk but it was a perfect set of waves for teenagers. The hot tub was also lovely on the day it rained."

"We were so pleased overall with our stay. The property management was polite and responsive. The ocean view was divine! We particularly enjoyed the pool facilities and Lomi Lomi massages at the day spa on site. Glad we stayed here, near the end of the North Shore road where it was more remote & peaceful. The concierge service was a huge plus in helping set up excellent activities for our family. Will definitely stay here again next time in Kauai. Mahalo!"
