Made great memories
Overall we were very happy with out stay at "the chalet with memories" and really enjoyed being off the grid. The space is great for a family of 4, the kitchen is well equipped and there are games, boats, lots of good reading spots, out- and indoor fire place with lots of wood and even a TV.
There is a large bear skin on one of the walls which really scared our 2 year old. It was too high up for us to take down so that took a little bit of getting used to. The other drawback was that we could not go swimming directly from the dock. The water was very shallow at the dock and there was a lot of reed. Somehow the kids decided to not like mud. So we could only go swimming off the boat. There is a beach somewhat close by, but it is a bit of a drive over the unpaved road leading to the cabin. Finally, there was quite a bit of dog hair around, especially on the porch. It may have been from a previous guest.
I would still recommend the place, especially if you are looking to relax, fish, and read.
