Hotel was empty with very few guests. At night they turn off or dim lights in common areas to save energy expenses that makes the surrounding environment a little scary. I must add that I visited Panama right after the political unrest and many people cancelled their trip because of demonstrations and road closures.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located. It is a huge hotel which seems to have large portions of it that are not used. Most restaurants were not operating. Ciaou, the onsite restaurant was terrible. The included hotel breakfast was good. Staff were helpful, but it was apparent that there are operational issues. The room was spacious and well equipted, but the rooms and with the rest of the hotel are in obvious need of renovation. Its a good place to stay for a few days, but probably not the best for longer stays.

Quality building. It’s to big to manage. It’s not full, and much cost a fortune to operate. So with 25 percent occupancy they cannot fully staff.
