The staff here has been great both times we have stayed. They seem genuinely interested in making sure you have a great stay. Location is convenient. Pay for valet parking ahead of time on Expedia and you will save.

The hotel was situated centrally.The check in was very easy, the staff was very helpful and polite.We had an issue with our AC in our room and it was fixed right away .

We were able to check in a little early upon our arrival at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Pittsburgh. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary gourmet hot chocolate was offered to us at check in and was absolutely wonderful! We were invited to the Manager's Happy Hour from 5-6pm that evening for complimentary wine, beer, beverages. Unfortunately we had other commitments and could not make it on this visit. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, very comfortable. Nice selection of coffee and tea offerings in the morning in the lobby. Breakfast not included but on site restaurant, The Commoner was very good and we enjoyed a delicious brunch. We were able to walk to our show venue within 10 minutes. Very nice stay and would definitely return.

Overall the hotel is nice, with attractive decor, and guests checking out seemed satisfied. However, I wasn't impressed by my room's dim lighting, nonfunctioning shampoo pump, lack of outlets, loose nightstand outlets, single towel hook/no rack, or having to request things like additional lighting, a microwave, or a thermostat adjustment (or the additional tips they require). I also didn't appreciate the extra $300 tacked onto my bill. In an award-winning boutique hotel you expect to avoid minor inconveniences, and it made me wonder whether certain rooms are reserved for third-party bookings.

Nice hotel but some of the hotels nearby are better. Check in was at 4pm and the room was not ready, normally not an issue but when you have tickets for an event at 5pm it is. Hotel bed was very comfortable and decor was cool and plenty of parking in the garage nearby. Hotel restaurant has a fantastic burger, probably the best burger I've ever had, but needs more vegetarian options and a more extensive menu.

Hotel was great- has great little perks you don’t get everywhere. If you forget a bunch of toiletries they have a stock they will give you items. The parking was not great around the hotel but it is in the city so expected and they do have valet! Such a pretty hotel I just wish they had a pool! Gym was great, I used it twice during my stay- had everything you need.

I was not offered my 2 free drinks or an upgrade during my stay. I also left food in the frig and wasn’t able to get it back. They saved my stale baked goods but somehow threw away my hot sausage. Worst customer service I’ve ever had staying there.

Good but could have been better
Very clean, great service, very unique looking decor, but personally the bed is not the most comfortable, and we went our first night with TV service issues unable to rent movies or see the menu or guide.
