The property was very beautifully designed I love ALoft because of their decor and rooms. When we arrived they did not have our room so we had to take an accessible room, the where able to get us into a new room the next day with a great view! The day staff did an amazing job. CONS I request an extra pillow on 3 different occasions and didn’t receive it until the 4night, being pregnant that pillow was a big deal. The breakfast buffet was not good there was no variety from day to day. The housekeeping was very basic and they never left washcloths, there was hair on the rug and the floor and they always seemed to miss emptying one of the two trash cans in the room.

I was at Aloft for 2 weeks and there were some positives and negatives. I worked remotely during the day so wifi was great except 1 day as for about 3 hours I kept getting kick out of the wifi. They do not have a desk/chair for remote work so it was not that comfortable sitting on the sofa and working on the circular table. They offer American TV channels so you can watch ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, CNN, which is great. The room was clean enough but not perfect. The bed was comfortable enough. The shower was fine, enough hot water and toilet worked great. it's an open bathroom, so it was great for me but some folks don't like that. There is a sliding door to the toilet. I didn't hear my neighbors which shows the walls are thick enough but I did hear people/cleaning crew in the hallways. There was a few night were there was a lot of music/noise from outside but thankfully it was only a few nights during the weekend mostly. Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise during the night if you're trying to sleep. One morning, there was no water, so that was for about 4 hours in the morning and for 1 night/into the morning, I didn't have A/C. Two great things, the rooftop pool is great so if you like to be in the pool area and swim, this is a bonus as view is nice and other great thing is that there is a great supermarket/grocery store below the hotel so they have almost everything you need, that was just convenient for me to buy water or wine or sandwich or bananas etc

Birthday trip
Went down to Playa Del Carmen for my girlfriend’s birthday. Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. Best taco restaurant in Playa Del Carmen , Los Chachalocos, is right downstairs. The hotel sits on top of a major grocery store, is 2 minutes walking from Quinta Avenida and 10 minutes walking from the beach. Clean rooms, great tasting buffet breakfast (Mexican food which was what we went for), attentive and professional staff. To top it off the roof top pool had amazing views and was a great hang out spot. I will return most definitely.

Very reasonable price in a great location. The staff was wonderful and our room had the best air conditioning of any place we’ve stayed in Mexico. The rooms get cleaned when one makes a request, but it was late afternoon before they got to ours. Overall, a very nice hotel.
