Property is Looking Run Down
We have stayed here several times. The front desk staff are always nice and professional. I gave it less stars because the building is really starting to look run down. It looks depressing. There was mold in the shower tiles. The carpet in the room felt dirty. The carpet in the hallways were dirty. The breakfast food was not good. Our dog wouldn't even eat the eggs. He's a dog. He's eaten cat turds before. The whole vibe of the place is dark and sad. Unfortunately this is the only pet friendly hotel in Portage. That's the only reason we stay there when we have to be in town with our dog.

Nice People, DIRTY Place!
The hotel service staff did a good job with what they had to work with. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and I will say this was the dirtiest and most broken-down room I have ever stayed in. By broken-down I mean: Broken phone, broken chair, cracked lampshade, broken door (deadlock would not engage). Tried to swap out the chair, but nothing to offer, so I used one of the chairs from the breakfast area. I had to move the nightstand to plug in the clock and it was disgustingly dirty underneath. Linens and food service trash was in the hallway from before I checked in until after I checked out the next day...
