The various Bahia Punta Cana resorts are ok. The buildings show signs of deterioration, all the employees come off as beggers looking for a dollar rather than helpful staff who enjoy what they do and genuinely want to help. You hesitate to ask a question fearing youll have to tip someone for basic information. Worst part is all the unregulated tobacco smoke! People smoking everywhere and hacking upca lung in between drags on their cigarettes. Disgusting and absolutely ignorant!

We liked property, food and staff. We recommend use restaurants and buffet in Ambar because they are amazing. We had bad experience in Fish market because of poor service. After this we did not waste time to restaurants that did not belong to Ambar. We went to SPA Punta Cana because it has aqua spa as well. We will recommend Bahia Ambar adult only resort to our friends. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful experience! We left yesterday and I had to be sure I’d express how great all of the staff at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar was. It started off with Nairobi at check in who made sure my needs were met and selected a perfect location for our room. We were pleasantly surprised at our view! I loved the Palmayra buffet! Hearing Ñoño singing “Coffee, coffee” in the background jump-started our day off with smiles, laughter, and full cups! However, the true highlight of Palmayra for us was Miguel! From day one, Miguel made us feel like VIPs by seating us at tables with beautiful handkerchief swans or flowers. He was always very attentive with a huge smile. I’m Dominican myself and he (along with a lot of the others I mention) felt like family! My partner and I always had full glasses of water, juice, or coffee. All of the staff work so well together. As a manager of an establishment myself, I value great customer service and the staff at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar really impressed me. They’re enough of a reason to want to return! I also wanted to mention Ramon at the towel station near the pool as well. His smile and kind words were the best way to start our day by the pool! Elin at Thali was another highlight since we made a reservation error and she utilized her great problem solving skills to find a solution for us. Beautiful stay! Everything was excellent. Wanted to mention that there was virtually no seaweed on the beach--the hotel did an excellent job of making sure it was perfectly clean. The beach was amazing. The restaurants were very good. Great stay--highly recommend, and we would definitely come back here.
