You can access the island over a bridge. The chalet is build to passive house standards, sustainability is one of our core values.

The Bird Island Chalet is a gem, a one of a kind experience, a place to remember.
Because the Chalet is built to passive house standards it is a highly energy efficient.
All bedrooms have south facing windows offering plenty of natural light. The walls are incredibly thick and over insulated, keeping it warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The house has a state of the art HRV system which supplies fresh air continuously. (This is incredibly nice during wildfire season since the smoke gets filtered out before the air enters the house, it’s also super cosy in the winter because it keeps the house warm but the air fresh).
The chalet is owner built which shows in many beautifully crafted details, wooden ceilings, custom railing and many more unique interior design features.

Guest access
You will cross over a bridge to get onto the island. There are 2 small cabins, 1 chalets, one house, one greenhouse and one workshop on the island. You get to enjoy the front yard surrounding your chalet including the private hut tub, fireplace and lawn. You may use the swing set and trampoline in the back yard.
