Our stay at the Linden Row Inn was fabulous. We booked last minute due to a Vrbo cancelation, and the room was ready and available. The hotel is very unique and full of history, having been built on the original Linden Row homes where Edgar Allen Poe lived and the Enchanted Garden where he courted his wife Annabel Lee. We were greeted by the cat Annabel, and the night shift attendant was a surprising wealth of historical knowledge whose talents are greatly underutilized!! We got a whole history of the Inn and the Jefferson! On a more functional note, the beds were super comfortable and all 3 of us slept like logs, the pillows were amazing (down?), the room was clean and large with plenty of space (larger than a standard hotel room), we had 2 large windows with lots of light, we were close to the front desk but it was quiet, and we could walk one block to the Jefferson for Sunday jazz or 3 blocks to VCU/ Monroe Park. I would absolutely stay there again (and i generally dislike and avoid hotels - this one was worth it!).
