We have stayed here before and always enjoyed it. However this time on the 4 and 5 December there was no night service after 10.pm. Fine except no one explained that the shutters would be down and the only access was a side door which we knew nothing about. So we were locked out in the rain until a local explained how to get into the hotel Although there were signs saying that there was no night service no one told us how to gain access which was not the greatest help. Maybe a sign explaining the access when no night service is available would be good.

Next toRhine w/pleasant table. Close to excellent restaurants. Great incl breakfast. Park free 6 pm-9am; otherwise pay. Worn furniture Some train traffic May have to pay ferry from Bingen.
