First of all we stay 4 nights at Hampton inn by Hilton you should honor or go half with me as a Hilton honor member to give me my points staying at a Hilton. It’s ridiculous that I didn’t get my rewards/points just bec I went through Travelocity. I never knew I wouldn’t gotten my points. May 2-6th 2024 You are not living up to Hilton moto. Also your hotel smells bad in the lobby and through the halls to our room and the first room your service desk person put us in 402 really smelled bad like it was cold dam and moldy, 2nd room was tolerable but very cold, clamping and molding smell. I literally had to go buy air freshener bec housekeeping didn’t have any. Also we booked through Travelocity not knowing I wouldn’t get my points for staying in at a HILTON and being a member of Hilton we booked a standard room thinking at least a microwave was in the room , but when I check med in hearing we are not getting a microwave or refrigerator, I even asked to upgrade ( I would pay for a better room with a microwave and refrigerator the agent wouldn’t let us this is unacceptable. Not living up to Hilton motto. So we went to buy a cooler to put ice in it. Finding the 4th floor ice machine was broke, than had to use the 3rd floor ice machine than last night had to use 2nd floor ice machine . Just a HUGE inconvenience. I am hoping you will give me points to make up the inconvenience for the moldy smell, cold damp in the room for the 4 days we stayed there. Thank you Rhonda W.

Couch in the room had a big stain and was torn. Room didn’t have a bathtub, just a shower. Clerk said it would be another $20 to get a room with a bathtub. Light from smoke alarm flashed every minute in the dark. A/C smelled like fire at one point. Breakfast was good and staff was nice.

The hotel was clean, and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was average. The room never felt quite warm enough, despite attempts to turn up the heat. There are not fridges or microwaves in all rooms....it apparently depends on number of beds configured. Our truck was broken into, as was another guest's vehicle. We didn't have anything valuable inside. This isn't the hotel's fault but seems to be a common issue in the area and San Antonio in general.

I have been retired for about 5 years now so I don't travel as much as I used to. I have stayed in Hampton/Hilton properties for decades and have always found I could count on them to be clean, modern, well appointed/supplied, etc but I found my recent stay at the Hampton in San Antonio to be average at best. Not dirty, but not really all that clean either, fixtures and furnishings needed to be refreshed/remodeled. No microfridge in the room and the elevator made a lot of noise going up and down.

Switch happens
I have stayed in this location twice. This is one of my favorite spots to stay when in SA. The hotel is in a good area, feel safe when traveling with my sisters. Night staff Nicole, thank you for going out of your way to make us feel comfortable. Only draw back is our room was changed from a 2queen bed with sofa bed to an ADA accesible room just because we requested a roll away bed. The room was much smaller, we had to add a second roll away, and the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. We adjusted but would have been more comfortable in the room we originally requested. Again, Nicole thank you for going above and beyond to accommodate us.
