When I booked this room, I told the agent I had a Marriott gift card. I would like to use and they told me that when I checked out to present the gift card and they would use it. I was untold when I went to check in they couldn’t use it because the room was already Paid for, therefore I wouldn’t be allowed to use the card, but she would pass this on to the manager, although she said there was not much hope of them solving the issue

Pretty expensive for a road side hotel. But the carpets were filthy— never a good sign. Loud old in room AC. But friendly staff.

Overall great
Overall, our stay was great. The location near Mission Bay is good. Breakfast was included and was fine. Parking is free. There is a nice gym and a good sized pool. The only drawback was the noise from the road outside, given that we were in a room overlooking the road. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay. I'd recommend it.
