Conveniently located, great history
Nice spot close to Japan Town. Perfect place to stay after a concert at the Filmore. I think we experienced a friendly haunting ♥️

Historic gem near Japantown!
I stayed here with a friend for our Friendcation, and we loved it! The biggest pro is that it’s historic and the rooms aren’t cookie cutter hotel rooms. You feel like you’re in actual bedroom. It was very comfortable and a pretty good size for just the two of us. Service was great, and the free breakfast in the cafe was nice! All in all, definitely recommend if you’re looking for a unique, cute hotel that’s in a good part of the city.

This is an old hotel, but I like old houses, so I was fine with it. The furnishings and whatnot are somewhat worn but my bathroom appeared to be newly renovated. I had a nice bay window with a view. The bedding was comfortable. It’s in a very good location and in 10 minutes or less you can safely walk to everything that Japantown or lower Pac Heights has to offer. I didn’t see any street conditions immediately around the hotel of concern over three days and three nights. The Wi-Fi is good, there is Dish TV with lots of channels, and a cube fridge in the room. The breakfast which is included in your stay, is the usual hotel fare but it was very good, and there is coffee available 24 hours in the lobby. There’s a small bar open in the evenings if you want a drink or a light snack. Small exercise room which I did not expect in an older property.
