Convenient location
We stay here a few times a year as it is 1 of 3 places we choose from on Monterey. The beds & pillows are great. It is a Motel so you deal with the cars outside the room and people walking around. Get a 2nd floor room. We like it because it is close & convenient to downtown & Cal Poly. Great rate if you just need to sleep & shower.

Inn at SLO gets an "A" grade.
I appreciate that the checkout process was just a matter of dropping the card keys in a box. The bed was very comfortable. Close location to the university and restaurants.

The first room I checked into was on the ground level and had a bathroom window that was open and broken. It could not be closed with the lever. It did not have the protective screen so anyone could get in through it. I was given another room on the second floor (my request). Took a few tried and visit to the front desk to get the key to work. When I returned for the night it was freezing and the thermostat would not update to warm up the room. I ended up sleeping in sweats with my coat, additional sweater and beanie .
