My family was visiting Hearst Castle and I wanted a hotel near that. This was convent, clean and lovely owners who also gave us terrific tips about the area. This area has been hit hard with the rockslide on Highway 1 (near Big Sur) but they have plowed thru. Primarily due to that, we wanted to support local businesses that have been hit so hard by the loss of travelers. So happy we stayed here.

Hotel is in a terrific location if you are visiting Hearst Castle. Bonus is an Elephant Seal beach just down the road that was amazing… and recommended by the hotel owners. They were spot on and could not have been nicer or more helpful.

San Simeon trip
Outside doesn’t have a lot of curb appeal, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Friendly greeting at check in, room was comfortable and clean. Not super fancy, but appropriately priced for an overall very good experience.

Great easy stay
Great time at the coast riders inn. Older hotel that’s been made over. Very clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will stay again next time headed down the PCH!

Great location for visiting the sites and as a 1-night stay on our way north. Located across the street from the ocean, we appreciated the gorgeous view and being able to watch the surfers.
