Lovely hotel plays gotcha: bogus resort fee
Our pleasant 2-night stay at Lotte Seattle in late January 2024, was soured considerably by a "Gotcha" so-called resort-fee. Another case of a rip-off junk-fee that should be banned! This is a business-hotel in the office-ghetto of downtown Seattle. Not even the nearby Starbucks is open on weekends. Have the courage to be transparent and include your so-called resort-fee, per-night charge, in your overall room-rate. Ridiculous to pretend that there is any value at all in the outside-room amenities that we never once set foot in. We approached check-out with a very positive impression of the Lotte-Seattle. We left with the bitter feeling that we had been ripped-off with a junk-fee that there was zero justification for. Absent a refund of this bogus resort fee, we will never stay at the Lotte-Seattle hotel again. Classy property with low-class grifting policies. Shame on Lotte management!

Overall, we had a positive experience - it was very quiet, modern with a unique twist, and located in a central area of the city. The only thing to note - we made arrangements with the hotel that we were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday during the stay and were promised a birthday card a welcome amenity but none of this was seen during our stay which was disappointing due to the expectations that was laid out.
