Property had been updated with new baths, newly painted. We have a large dog. There was a large dog bed in our room, which our dog loved. There was a dog run by the property, which was wonderful! The breakfast was hot eggs and waffles, with sausage and home fries. Other options were cereal toast, etc. good breakfast. We had a lovely stay here and would highly recommend the Southern Oaks Inn.

BEWARE of hidden fees at this property . Was charged an additional $75 dollars for my stay ; when I called about this after I returned home I was told this was additional fees not noted by Travelocity . WTH ?? Been using Travelocity for years , never had someone tell me this. Based on this , I can not recommend this hotel to anyone else.

This is an older hotel but it is well cared for. Breakfast was excellent. Transportation was appreciated.
