not what i expected
kind of dreary room because the curtain wouldn't slide open. not convenient if you don't have a car because it's a 15-20 minute walk down a busy road to town. very plain, not welcoming room. clean but strong smell of disinfectant.

Standards starting to slip
Was ok & still better than other motels in the area. Feel standards/ maintenance is starting to slip lights above mirrors not working- bathroom fan was switched off & too high for me to reach to switch on. They are still trading under the goodwill/ facade of the old owners. Signage in rooms etc still has old owners names on. Feel this is dishonest. If you now own it - let people know.

Misleading description
The hotel’s website and Hotels.com descriptions are very misleading. The breakfast room is permanently closed. The pool was not in service the day we arrived. The hotel is older and not renovated, so even though they try to kelp in clean (and toilet, shower, and sheets were perfectly clean) there is the dust of years on all the ledges and the carpet is absolutely disgusting. It is inexpensive, at least, and does provide a mini fridge, toaster, hot water kettle, and plates/glasses.
