The owners/staff were super nice. We had flown in from the US and were early but they let is check in early so we could shower and rest. The food at the pub was great and well priced. Right next door to a grocery store if you need anything and a short walk to the beach.

Fun stay
Quick overnight business trip, so booked for location predominately, didnt think much about date, but what better spot to be on St Paddy's day than an Irish Pub!! Had a blast, & the room was great, freshly updated, clean and comfortable

Property's renovated, nice & clean The location's a bit of a walk from public transport. I couldn't get the aircon to work properly. Overall, a nice stay in this area

Rooms - clean and kept as such on the daily basis! Bathrooms - actually 5 stars, we were impressed! Stuff and cleaning service - amazing job! Location is superb! Short pleasant walk to the Maroubra beach. Metro groceries is next door. Food in the pub is great, or you can enjoy few other places next door as well. Overall great experience for the family of 5 for 12 days in Southend Hotel. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back to our trip to Sydney!

Much better than expected. The rooms are fantastic in size, very clean and newly renovated. It does not look like much from the outside and there are only stairs to reach the rooms but inside was very quiet and comfortable.
