Family vacation in Bologna
We stayed in the Garden unit for 9 days in mid July. The property is beautiful and Alessandro and his family are wonderful people and great hosts. They were very accommodating to our family by amending the pool hours. The property is perfectly situated to see many great areas around Bologna and all are within about an hours’ drive. The only issue we had was the heat. Unfortunately there were heat warnings throughout this part of Europe in July and the property is not set up yet to deal with those temps, so it made sleeping and relaxing very difficult ( although the pool certainly helped). I know that Alessandro indicated they will be installing air conditioners for 2024 so that should address the issue. Otherwise we loved our vacation.

Borgo degli Ulivi
We had a wonderful stay at Borgo degli Ulivi. Alessandro and Angela were welcoming hosts (et pour les francophones, Alessandro parle français). We stayed in the Garden apartment, which was comfortable. We particularly appreciated the private terrace. The infinity pool was a great way to cool off on the hot July afternoons, and as other guests have noted, the view of the picturesque landscape enchanting.

Best part of our grand Italian escape
We stayed in a 2 bdr apartment with private garden and enjoyed shared swimming pool and bbq. The host was very kind to book a restaurant for us on Monday. The apartment and the property are very clean and well maintained. We've got fantastic holidays there.

Beautiful setting, excellent hosts.
Alessandro and Angela were delightful hosts, always ready to help out, make suggestions, sort out little problems. They invited us to share an aperitif with other guests, with delicious local specialities and wine, and Alessandro booked us into a wine-tasting evening at his nephew's place just down the road, another excellent evening. The pool was just as wonderful as it looks, with the added fascination of bees doing backstroke! (Never felt at any risk from them, however.) This is a lovely place to relax with a book as well as an extremely good base to explore near and far. Crespellano has a regular railway service to Bologna, which in turn is a hub for most of Northen Italy, so you don't have to drive through unfamiliar cities when you decide to venture from Burgo de Ulive. It's very peaceful, even though the road runs nearby, as everything faces away from the road and towards a charming view. The apartment was clean and well-equipped, though a microwave or oven might have been useful. We had an excellent time and would like to thank our hosts for all their help.

Beautiful property, wonderful hosts.
We had a wonderful week at Borgo degli Ulivi. Alessandro and Angela were so helpful and kind. We had many wonderful experiences that would not have been possible without their connections! The food in this area is sensational and our kind hosts directed us to the best local restaurants. The view from the pool is sublime We hope to return one day.

A Country Setting in the Heart of Emilia Romagna Near Bologna
My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Borgo degli Ulivi in Crespellano, only minutes from Bologna, in early June. Due to mobility issues, our hosts, Alessandro and Angela, set us up in the ground floor garden apartment adjacent to their home. The 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment is fully furnished and tastefully decorated with full kitchen, dining and separate living room. It also has its own private outdoor patio where we had breakfast every morning. It has a beautiful pool where you can spend warm summer afternoons keeping cool when not exploring. There are so many places to visit in Emilia Romagna, and Crespellano makes a perfect starting point for any direction you choose to go. Even though it is small, there are many good choices for nearby dining. There are also several markets and shops to fill all of your food needs. Alessandro and Angela know all about the surrounding area and can recommend many wonderful places to go for day trips and enjoying the area and food specialties of Emilia Romagna, including prosciutto, parma ham, balsamic vinegar, Parmesan cheese, cherries, tortellini and much much more. If you are into fast cars, the Ferrari and Lamborghini factories and museums are also close by. When considering staying in Bologna on your next Italian trip, think about staying at Borgo degli Ulivi, instead. It is located in a very quiet and beautiful setting in the countryside, but close to everything, and Alessandro and his wife Angela are the perfect hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and so will you.

Overall perfect
Wonderful flat, central in the Emilia Romagna, perfect for daily trips. Incredibly clean and well stocked, the view from the Pool is amazing. The son of the owners made us feel very welcome.

1. Der Schwimmingpool ist kein Privatpool und wird von mehreren Familien benutzt. Der Pool darf nur von 9.00 - 18.00 Uhr benützt werden. Der Pool war stark veralgt. 2. Es war kein Grill vorhanden wie beschrieben. Es stand auf einem Schild: Dont use the barbeque area. 3.WLAN war nicht vorhanden. 4. TV kein Programm. 5. Das Haus wird noch von anderen benutzt, das war so nicht beschrieben.
