Not a good start for this place. First when we arrived they did not have the room we booked. Not sure how you “sell out” of the room we have a reservation for and a reservation made over 7 months ago. I even called the front desk two nights before our arrival to inform them of our late arrival and was told “no need for us to annotate anything, just show up”. Checked in and was told breakfast was at 6:30, got downstairs at 6:30 and nope, no breakfast and nobody around setting up. Was not able to utilize the breakfast which was part of the room rate since we were here for a function and had time constraints. By the looks of it quite a few families were told the same thing and had to leave disappointed. This s minor but no hand soap in the room. I would expect a higher attention to detail for a hotel of this caliber in DC. Lets hope the remainder of our stay gets better. If so I will update this review.

I was excited about my stay as I recently had stayed at another Cambria in Portland, ME. The only pro I can give of this hotel is the location. Other than that, this property needs some significant attention to detail. From a distance, it looks great, but close up, it has broken tiles, damaged furniture, lobby bathrooms without locks, etc. Management needs to stop skimping on the aesthetics. The price per night is not cheap, so this hotel shouldn't feel like a step up from a motel.

My colleague and I are here on a work trip. This is our second stay at this hotel because the FIRST stay was a wonderful experience. We work at a methadone company and wake up at 2:30am to make it to work by 4:30am. The ONE night we had to sleep a little later due to our plane not leaving u til 10am, we were kept awake ALL night by the base from the music coming from the next room shaking our walls. I went to the front desk and security came up twice on 2nd shift and I reported it twice on third shift. Their response was to MOVE US rather than the people blasting the music. I have videos of our walls literally shaking. Their solution, to offer to move US. Unbelievable.

Great Stay in DC
Upon arrival I had a friendly greeting by the Valet and the front desk agent. Check in was quick and easy and a bonus my room was ready a few hours before check in time. The room was clean and it was the perfect size for my family. Room is identical to the pictures. Parking was decent , they have 2 options valet($50) and self parking ($30) Choose the self parking option, it's a lot cheaper but no in and out privileges. Each 24hrs is $30 so I pulled the car out one day, put it back and it. Total for 2 days was $60 instead of $100 The hotel bar was great. The bartender fixed me a few drinks and we had a great convo and watched sports. Overall great experience here, I'd definitely come back
