Hotel going under renovation , so we overlooked most of the issues due to this. All staff members seemed very stressed and didn't seemed very interested in helping out guests. We ate at the in house restaurant and experience much of the same in way of staff. Food wasn't much better to lack of taste and an extremely over priced for just an dinner for two. Wonderful views from the room overlooking the ocean, little concern about lack of guest safety for the little ones near the cliffs without of some sorts of rails. About all the hotel still needs work .

The views are fantastic! Maybe the best I’ve ever seen at the coast. The beds are not good at all. Hard as a rock. Room looked tired and not at all like the ones pictured when booking. The woman at the front desk seemed like she would rather be absolutely anywhere else. I know there is remodeling going on, so hopefully they’re addressing the looks of things, but they’ve got to do something with the beds. Based on the room we had, it has potential but I think the ratings that brought us here are overly generous in every area but the location.

Nice Despite Construction
I give them 5 stars despite the awkwardness of it being under construction. The stack of mattresses out front and the limited restaurant and closed bar let me know that they were at least putting money into keeping it up, which you need to do if you own the Adobe. I don't know how the nails, wood, paint, and shingles regularly resist the kind of winter weather I saw it get pounded with while I was there. The room was clean and free of strange smells. The mattress was comfortable, and the view of the crashing surf was nice. What really impressed me, though, and is something I meant but forgot to tell the front desk at check-out, was the water quality in the pool area. From someone who is in a related profession, bravo! Excellent, clear, clean, odor-free pools, very inviting and enjoyable for us all. You know what you are doing and it shows. Thank you.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well cared for, comfortable. Elevator worked most of the time. Restaurant had limited hours. Remodeling caused some access inconvenience and area clutter, but did not affect our overall experience.

Our room was clean, reasonably well-appointed and comfortable. The front desk staff were stellar and pleasant, as was the person overseeing the temporary continental breakfast area. I was disappointed that construction -related debris was not secured in advance of the storm. While the winds were, unusually high management has a responsibility to insure adequate controls exist. There is the safety element of material not being turned into projectiles. In addition, mitigate risk of debris being blown all over the grounds and the cliffs, and ultimately into the ocean. This was not the case as I observed debris in the waves.
