Undeniable rustic feel. Updated kitchen, bathroom and dining room. Other parts of house (floors, etc) left as is to maintain rustic, cottage-in-the-woods feeling. Outdoor covered porch area with full dining area & BBQ. Indoor sunporch perfect for warm but breezy “sun spot” naps by day and star gazing by night. Nestled down a short dirt road off of another dirt road. 25 mins from amenities in Sydney River. Country Market & Liquor Store only 15mins away. Fine dining, golf or skiing only 6mins away! Big Pond beach only 2mins away!

We had a lovely stay in this rustic Cape Breton cottage! The building itself is quite old, and shows its character. It was good for three people, but would be tight for a family or larger group. There's no direct beach access, but it's a 2 minute drive away (or less), and the water was beautiful. Note that any major shopping or necessities will have to be gotten in Sydney, about half an hour away, so plan for that. We appreciated Laura's communication throughout our stay, and the very detailed notes about the cottage which helped to make our stay worry free!
