Great place! Away from city lights!
This was actually our second time staying here. We had a different room than last year but both stays were great. The beds, comforters and pillows are so comfortable. The rooms are very clean and the property is really cute. There are hot tubs that you can use and picnic tables and chairs. It's on the water and it's a quaint place. We saw the northern lights here last year. This year it was too cloudy unfortunately. I highly recommend staying here!

very cool and unique place to stay. perfect if you have a car for your trip. kind of impossible to get to without car. very warm cosy cabins and amazing views. sauna and hot tub are amazing to have for your stay but they could be a bit warmer in my opinion. very clean. fresh towels and bed sheets provided every day. loads of parking and smooth check in and check out experience. would highly recommend for drivers in Iceland !!!

Sunset Views and a Perfect Stay
Our last day in Iceland was spent at The Hlid Fisherman’s Village in Alftanse. We chose it due to its close location to the airport, but being right on the coast was such a bonus. We had selected the superior room which had a double bed, seating and a view of the sea, and there was also outside seating, and a shared hot tub. We looked up a local takeaway as there are no shops within close walking distance, but not a problem for us. Amazing sunset views and the perfect end to our holiday.

If you want to see the northern light, this hotel is great for you. But do not expect any service. The safe did not work, they said they would come, but nobody came. We did not know how to lock the door, called and nobody came after two international calls. The worst thing is in the mid-night, someone used their key to open our room and insisted he had this room. It is so scary.
